Over the past several years I have come to realize the importance of being discerning. When you begin your journey as a Christian there is so much information available to you. It can be really challenging to know what to read, what to study, what preachers to listen to, what doctrine is sound and so on and so on. Just walk into any Christian book store and look at the shelves lined with material and you will know what I mean. The difficulty with this information overload is our society is catering to many different groups. Your average book store is serving the needs of all types of churches and religious affiliations.
