So I am going to try something new to get my blog back on track. I have discovered I can write posts from my iPhone. It is a bit cumbersome as the keyboard is obviously small and I will be typing with two thumbs instead of ten fingers, but there are some advantages. It is highly portable! I can take a few moments throughout the day to compile my thoughts and save them in a draft which can be posted at any time. I have been waiting until I get home and by then there are too many other things which need to be done or quite frankly I am just too exhausted. So bear with me as I try to get the creative writing juices flowing again....
The past two weeks have been full. I started rounding at the hospital with one of my doctors and I love it. Unfortunately, it requires that I be up earlier than before. I now leave the house around 6:40 am. I race to the hospital, work up all the charts before she gets there and then we see the patients. Then we both head over to the office and begin a very full day. It has been a couple of months and I am feeling comfortable with my job to a point. The medical assistants are now receptive to me and seeking out learning oppotunities. We laugh a lot during the day, which eases the tension from the hustle and bustle of a very busy practice.
We have moved to a morning service time for our church as well. This will be the second Sumday we are 10:30. We put out over 250 flyers door to door in several neighborhoods, put an ad in the paper and talked to as many people as we could and still had the same number of attendees. It was a bit disappointing; however, the morning time has been a blessing and outweighs the other. We have resolved ourselves that this church will grow in God's time not ours.
Steve had a birthday yesterday! We had a big day as we headed to Orlando to have dinner, shop for my man a new pair of shoes and just hang together. I had collected all the birthday cards from the mailbox this week and saved them for him to open all throughout dinner. We ate at PF Changs and found a great buy on a pair of shoes at Macy's. We didn't get home until 10 and were exhausted, but had so much fun together. That is one of the best things about our relationship is all the laughter!
My biggest challenge this coming week is a ladies bible study. Steve has been teaching a men's bible study at a local men's mission on Monday night. I had been feeling led to gather the women of our.church. Since he is out on Monday night, I figured it would be a great opportunity to have them over for a study. I have no idea how many are coming, but whatever the number we will fellowship together and learn about God! I pray I am ready to answer questions which may arise and that I lead these women solidly by God's teaching.
It is time to get ready for church! I am excited I managed to tap out a whole blog on the phone. Thank you for sticking with me as I struggle to figure it all out. I am grateful my savior Christ is walking beside me in this very busy time!
